Micah Ioffe, PhD
Dr. Micah Ioffe is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, with advanced training in OCD and selective mutism treatment. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Ioffe utilizes empirically-supported approaches in her work with youth, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM). She encourages a collaborative process with families and school personnel, and empathically works to meet clients’ individual needs. Dr. Ioffe appreciates the inclusion of compassion and humor in her clinical work, both of which can help facilitate courage and resilience when facing fears.
Dr. Ioffe is a co-author two books: Rewire Your Anxious Brains for Teens: Using CBT, Neuroscience, and Mindfulness to Help You End Anxiety, Panic, and Worry and Break Free from Intrusive Thoughts: An Evidence-Based Guide for Managing Fear and Finding Peace. She has also authored multiple research publications and presented her research on parent-adolescent communication and its influences on anxiety and related disorders at regional and national conferences.
