Dr.Mondesir is a general pediatrician who currently practices in the Treasure Coast of Florida. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota and then attended medical school at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad. She then completed her pediatric residency training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Mondesir became an advocate for selective mutism after both her children were diagnosed with the condition. She recognizes the need to build awareness of selective mutism among providers so that it can be identified and treated appropriately. Dr. Mondesir became an SMA board member in January 2018.
