Dr. Thien-An Le, (“An” for short), is a Licensed Psychological Associate in Austin, TX. She earned her doctorate degree from the University of Central Florida and completed her accredited residency at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. She is currently completing her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Capital OCD and Anxiety Practice, where she continues to dedicate her career in treating OCD, Social Anxiety, Selective Mutism, Phobias, and other related anxiety disorders.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Le has sought specific experiences to support children and families with Selective Mutism. She developed and led multiple child and adolescent Selective Mutism and Social Anxiety group treatment programs in Orlando, FL, and Houston, TX. Dr. Le also completed her Master’s Thesis on Social Anxiety, in addition to co-authoring book chapters on Social Anxiety and Selective Mutism. She utilizes evidenced-based therapies, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, exposure therapy, parent-management training, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Specific to Selective Mutism, Dr. Le places a heavy emphasis on working collaboratively with the family to implement “shaping” and gradual practices to assist children in finding their brave voices. She has provided treatment in intensive, “camp” formats, as well as in weekly, outpatient sessions. It would be her pleasure to create individualized treatment plans to meet you and your family’s needs and goals.
