Brave Buddies℠ is an intensive group behavioral treatment program designed to help children ages three to twelve with selective mutism (SM) speak in school and other public places. We create a classroom-like setting that offers children a safe environment to practice verbal participation, or what we call “brave talking.” The program runs in New York City, at the Stephen Gaynor School.
A multi-day intensive programs, which run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on consecutive days, is being offered on Monday August 5 through Friday August 9th. Parent training is a crucial part of Brave Buddies and runs from 9:30 to 11:00 am daily.
The program is open to children ages 3-12. There is an older kids classroom, for ages 8-12 and is specifically designed to include an enhanced curriculum for this age group with.
