Please join me for an intensive, information-rich workshop on the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of Selective Mutism! Leave with effective treatment plans and interventions for immediate use in the school and clinical settings.
Selective Mutism is a childhood anxiety disorder characterized by a child’s ‘inability’ to speak in various social settings. These children are able to speak at home and in settings where they are comfortable, secure, and relaxed. However, this anxiety significantly impacts the ability of the child to participate in both social and academic activities in the school environment.
Early identification and intervention is key in the treatment of Selective Mutism and Social Phobia. This workshop is based on scientifically-supported techniques of behavior modification led by Dr. Aimee Kotrba, Licensed Pediatric Psychologist, internationally-recognized speaker, and expert in the field of Selective Mutism.
The cost of the workshop is $169; this includes a workshop informational packet and snacks. Lunch is on your own.
“This is by far the best workshop I’ve attended. Dr. Kotrba is an excellent and engaging speaker. ”
CEUs will be offered for Psychologists, Social Workers, and Marriage/Family Therapists – there will be a $25 fee for CEUs collected. CEs can be obtained through R. Cassidy; a link is provided on the registration page, where registrants can directly sign up for Continuing Education credits.
