About Dr. Ashley

Dr. Ashley is a licensed psychologist in Pasadena who has been working with children, teens and families for over 10 years. Dr. Ashley integrates creativity, fun, compassion and inspiration into her work. As an avid skier and snowboarder, she loves the outdoors and understands the importance of helping others find their passion. Dr. Ashley played multiple team and competitive sports growing up and is versed, both through personal experience and her research, in the many benefits and risks sports create for children today. Dr. Ashley is also a mom and knows the challenges parents face. She specializes in early child development and has a passion for supporting parents through the exciting, frightening, exhausting, confusing and incredible early years of their child’s life.

Services

Dr. Ashley’s Selective Mutism Program (SMP) includes a comprehensive assessment to determine and clarify your child’s diagnosis if needed. This assessment provides thorough and appropriate treatment recommendations. Dr. Ashley works collaboratively with parents to develop specific goals for their children. Each family is supported through the process at their own speed. The SMP includes small social skills group for young children aimed at helping them to decrease their anxiety in group or classroom settings. Other services include parent consultation, individual and family therapy utilizing cognitive behavioral interventions and pet therapy.

Education and Experience

Dr. Ashley graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Vermont in 2004 with a B.A. in both Psychology and Spanish.

Dr. Ashley attended the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, obtaining her Psy.D. Degree in 2010.

Dr. Ashley completed her pre- and post-doc internships at the Zero-Five program at Pacific Clinics in Pasadena. She has also worked with Integrated Learning Solutions in San Marino, Ca administering psycheducational and psychological evaluations. Dr. Ashley also worked at the Institute for Girl’s Development where she ran multiple groups for young children, as well as individual, family therapy and psychological evaluations.
