Janine Domingues, PhD
Janine Domingues, PhD, is a clinical psychologist at the Child Mind Institute, Anxiety and Mood Disorders Center and Selective Mutism Services. Dr. Domingues has experience in providing cognitive behavioral treatments to children, teenagers, and young adults struggling with anxiety and mood disorders. She has specific interest and expertise in the treatment of selective mutism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, separation anxiety, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Dr. Domingues received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining the Child Mind Institute, Dr. Domingues completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/University Behavioral Healthcare where she specialized in treating children and adolescents. Dr. Domingues earned her master’s and bachelor’s degree in psychology at Loyola University Maryland.
Dr. Domingues has co-authored scholarly articles for several journals, including the Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, the Selective Mutism Association, and The National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
Dr. Domingues is passionate about her work providing comprehensive evidence-based treatments for children and their families to help them develop a sense of resilience, strength, and hope.
