Lisa Cameron, MS, CCC-SLP received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from San Francisco State University in 1984. She completed her post graduate clinical training at Children’s Hospital Oakland.

Ms. Cameron served as Director of The Speech Pathology Group, Inc from 1997 to 2014, where she remained an active clinician with a special interest in treating children with selective mutism.

Lisa has attended workshops by Aimee Kotrba, Ph.D., Elisa Shipon-Blum, DO, Joleen Fernald, MS, CCC-SLP, and others regarding behavioral and pragmatic approaches to treat SM.

Lisa is also member of ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association), SMA (Selective Mutism Association), and local multidisciplinary study groups.

She established her own private practice in Orinda, CA in June, 2014, in a shared office with a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician who also treats SM. Lisa provides assessments, parent counseling, and direct treatment. She believes strongly in a multidisciplinary approach (parents/teachers, psychologists, developmental pediatricians or child-adolescent psychiatrists), especially for older children still struggling with selective mutism.
