Reagan Kinnear, PhD, NCSP
Dr. Reagan Kinnear is a licensed child psychologist and owner of Kinnear Child Psychology, a private practice in Aledo/Willow Park, Texas. Dr. Kinnear has a special interest in working with young children (10 years and younger) with disruptive behaviors and anxiety disorders, and more specifically those with selective mutism. Dr. Kinnear is a certified therapist and level 1 trainer of Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She has also completed training in modification of PCIT to address anxiety disorders in children, including selective mutism.
Dr. Kinnear works to individualize treatment to the specific needs of her families using evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), behavioral parent training and PCIT. In addition to helping children learn strategies to cope with emotions, she coaches caregivers how to help their child be successful across settings. Dr. Kinnear collaborates and consults with additional caregivers (e.g. school staff), as indicated.
Prior to establishing private practice, Dr. Kinnear was employed as a staff psychologist at Cook Children’s Child Study Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Before then, Dr. Kinnear served as a Director of Clinical Services, staff psychologist and clinical supervisor in the Behavior Management Clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
